STEM Goes Red
Engaging Students in STEM
As cardiovascular disease continues to be the #1 killer of women, ensuring more women are at the forefront of developing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) solutions has never been more imperative.
The Mid-South American Heart Association will host an engaging, half-day event at the University of Memphis on Friday, March 28th to inspire an extraordinary group of 8th grade young women in Shelby County to explore STEM outside the classroom and to join Go Red For Women’s fight to save women’s lives.
These future leaders will be exposed to local female leaders in STEM careers, participate in subject-focused breakout sessions and will walk away knowing they can make an impact in their world by following in the footsteps of these mentors into a future STEM career.
Thank you for our sponsors and volunteers for supporting this initiative to grow our next generation of female researchers and women in STEM.
